How to improve your skin tone
Wash your face twice a day
Washing your face in the morning and evening will help you get rid of dirt or oil from your skin. If you have dry or sensitive skin, then keep it to one wash a day. It is essential that you use face care products that are meant for your skin type. After you wash your face, use a toner to remove excess dirt and follow up with a moisturiser.
Wear sunscreen
Sunscreens protect your skin against harmful UV rays. The sun provides us with vitamin D which is healthy for the body, however, too much of it can be harmful to your skin. Wear sunscreen with a SPF of 15 or higher for adequate protection.
Drink more water
Drinking water is the best thing you can do to restore that natural glow. When your body lacks hydration, the body on your skin will look dry and flaky. Ensure you get your daily dose of at least 8 glasses a day to prevent dehydration.
Use a body scrub
Your face is not the only thing that needs exfoliation. Body scrubs should be used two to three times a week and they are there to exfoliate and remove the dead skin cells. After exfoliating, you will be left with supple skin that’s as smooth as a baby’s bottom.
Eat your way to a healthier you
Feed your body what it needs. Healthy fats are good for your skin because it assists with hydrating your body. Examples of healthy fats are fatty fish, avocadoes and nuts. Foods like eggs, tomatoes and broccoli protect your skin against age spots and sun damage while wholegrains, poultry and nuts are good for making it feel soft.
